About the role:
- £25.00 per hour
- 37 hours per week
- Based in Ballymena
- Temporary post initially until June 2026

What you'll be doing in this role:
- Responsible for identifying and recruiting business and social enterprises to business support programmes and encouraging opportunities for growth, providing advice and expertise to ensure that client needs are addressed.
- Manage a portfolio of client businesses through a journey of business support. Centralise and simplify the marketplace for businesses by providing advice and referring businesses to other appropriate supports from economic partner organisations through ongoing
- Responsible for establishing credible relationships with client businesses, developing a good understanding of their business needs through completing baseline assessments and online diagnostics and acting as their main point of contact within Council.
- Analysis of business plans and financial information of client businesses to assess business performance and to inform support required to address key issues and enable business growth.
- Responsible for ensuring clients and the local business base is fully informed and aware of Council’s Business Support and Growth programmes.
- Monitoring the performance and growth of client companies using a range of modelling and analytical techniques and initiating corrective action as required
What you'll need for this role:
- Hold a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline and have at least three years’ experience in a business advisory support environment, including proactive business engagement, client relationship development, business analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks, delivery of consultancy and training including workshops and presentations, co-ordination of business initiatives or projects that improved growth, and effective stakeholder management with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- OR Have at least five years’ relevant experience in a business environment demonstrating all of the areas outlined above
- A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post
