Quality Engineer - Limavady - Permanent
The Quality Engineer will oversee and enhance the quality and reliability of chemical dosing systems, GRP products, showers, hose reels, and other designated products. The role involves developing and implementing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and introducing innovative solutions that improve efficiency and product performance.
Key aspects of the role include creating a serialisation system, introducing quality gates at each workstation, and producing clear and regular reporting to maintain transparency across quality operations.
About this role:
- £Competitive salary (DOE)
- Monday to Friday (early Friday finish)
- Paid overtime
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control processes aligned with Inspection & Testing Plans.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.
- Create and maintain a database to track product progress across the factory.
- Produce a weekly report documenting product status, issues identified, and resolutions applied.
- Oversee material and component inspections for chemical dosing systems.
- Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot quality issues at any stage.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, particularly in serialisation and quality gate efficiency.
What you'll need for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (2:1 or above preferred).
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience or knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong IT skills.
