Paint Supervisor - Coleraine - Permanent
A recognised market leader in specialist fabrication, surface finishing, and full assembly services across the UK and Ireland is seeking an experienced Paint Supervisor to join its team. This role will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Paint Department, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Production Manager, the Paint Supervisor will support site objectives, manage day-to-day operational and people matters, and help maintain a smooth and effective production flow.
About this role:
- Up to £42,000 (DOE)
- Monday to Thursday
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Organise and prioritise daily workload for the Paint team in line with the production schedule.
- Update production schedules and maintain visibility of work status, including paint and powder coating stages.
- Highlight production issues, delays, or risks to the Production Manager and support timely resolution.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the Paint Department.
- Ensure all products are painted to the required specification and quality standard.
- Supervise and motivate the Paint team to achieve production targets.
- Ensure all painted products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
What you'll need for this role:
- 2+ years’ recent experience as a Paint Team Leader or Supervisor.
- 5+ years’ industrial painting experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment with responsibility for interpreting production schedules.
- Proven experience working to production deadlines.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
