Operations Service Manager, Cloud Services, (Band 7) - Belfast

About the role:
    -  £23.60 per hour
- Location: James House, Belfast
 
- 37.5 hours a week
 
- Duration: Temporary until 29/05/2026
- This role closes on Friday 7th November 2025 for suitable CVs.
What you'll be doing in this role:
    - Ensure all database servers are backed up in a manner that meets the RPO and RTO defined in customer SLA’s.
- Troubleshoot database service outages as needed, including after-hours and weekends.
- Recommend most appropriate high availability and resilience options to meet customers’ requirements.
- Undertake capacity reviews of managed databases on a regular basis.
- Document database environments to a quality standard.
- Ensure that all operational delivery services and developments provided by ITS are planned and delivered in accordance with agreed support processes, SLA’s and ITS quality standards.
- Ensure that all operational delivery services provided by suppliers are planned and delivered in accordance with agreed quality processes, SLA’s and ITS quality standards as appropriate.
What you'll need for this role:
    - Hold a university degree in a computer science related subject or relevant ICT professional qualification and have a minimum of 3 years experience in an ICT technical management role within a major organisation. OR,
- Have worked for at least 5 years in an ICT Technical management role within a major organisation. AND,
- Have recent experience/knowledge of working with Infrastructure\Cloud technologies and licensing, such as Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft 365 & Azure\AWS\GCloud Technology, Relational Database systems, Virtualisation, High Availability, SAN Storage, Networking, Security, Client devices, Web servers, Integration technologies, Application support, etc.
- Have experience of leading or supporting ICT projects with a budget of over £50,000.
- Have previous experience utilising a project methodology or contract management.
- Have at least 2 years’ experience managing teams of people.
