HSE Advisor - Ballymoney - Permanent
Riada Resourcing is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced HSE Advisor to join a global engineering operation in Ballymoney. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety-first culture and supporting the business in achieving its goal of Zero Harm. About the role:
- £Negotiable salary (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday
- Full time role
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and company HSE policies.
- Report on HSE performance KPIs and conduct environmental monitoring.
- Lead safety committees and HSE steering meetings.
- Assist with claims management and regularly review HSE risk assessments and procedures.
- Support and lead HSE improvement projects and initiatives.
- Conduct and support accident/incident investigations.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurance providers, and occupational health services.
- Identify HSE training needs and deliver internal training sessions.
- Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, logistics, and purchasing teams to implement safety improvements.
- Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors to the site.
- Manage HSE-related budgets and purchase orders as needed.
- Provide consultation and coordination support to site leadership.
Essential Criteria:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (candidates working towards qualification will also be considered).
- Previous experience in a similar HSE advisory role.
- Solid understanding of HSE legislation and standards.
- Working knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and display screen equipment compliance.
