Job Title: Quality Manager

Reports To: Advanced Manufacturing Manager
Role Overview:
Riada Resourcing are delighted to be representing a leading engineering company is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee and enhance its Integrated Management System (IMS) while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. This role involves managing quality and safety issues, implementing preventative measures, and driving continuous improvement across all departments.
This position is ideal for a proactive problem solver with strong interpersonal skills, a curious mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence.
About the role:
- From £35,000 to £45,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hour per week

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Maintain and improve the ISO-certified QMS.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and update quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
Problem Management:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
- Implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of improvements and drive ongoing quality enhancements.
Performance Monitoring:
- Analyse quality metrics to identify improvement areas.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with production, design, and management teams to align quality objectives.
- Provide guidance and training on quality procedures and best practices.
- Act as the primary contact for quality discussions with customers and suppliers.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Champion a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the organisation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Quality or SHEQ Manager role within manufacturing/ engineering (preferably sheet metal fabrication).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Experience investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality tools (e.g. root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC).
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with APQP and PPAP.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and quality software.
- NEBOSH certification preferred.
- Leadership and change management skills.
