About the role:
- Portadown
- Hourly rate: £13.24 ph
- Full Time, 37 hours, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
- Duration: Temporary, ongoing
- 35 days annual leave, Public Sector

Duties include:
- To undertake maintenance and building work on the full range of Housing Executive properties involving brickwork, blockwork and stonework
- To undertake, as and when required, bricklaying, concrete laying and foundation work associated with response maintenance and minor adaptation
- To undertake all maintenance work involving pointing, ceramic floor, wall tiling
- Carry out a range of multi-skilled tasks and maintenance work outside of trade without reliance on other trades for example:
o Plastering
o Joinery
o Plumbing
o Painting
o Non slip flooring
o Tiling
Criteria:
- Have successfully completed an apprenticeship in Bricklaying (either time served or skills based)
- 2 years’ post Apprenticeship Bricklaying experience
- Competent in core trade with ability to complete a range of tasks without input from other operatives
- Can demonstrate sound practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment
- A full current driving licence or access to a form of transport.
- The successful applicant may also be required to provide an emergency call out service, at night and weekends, on a rota basis
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
