About the role:
- Hourly Rate: £12.80 per hour
- Location: Belfast
- Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm & Friday 8.30 am – 4.00 pm. Please note you may also be required to provide an emergency call out service, at night and weekends, on a rota basis
- Holidays: 35 days pro rata
- Duration: Temporary, ongoing

Duties:
- Operational Responsibilities: Perform wall and floor tiling, including preparing floor screed
- Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer care, prioritising tenant safety, especially for vulnerable tenants, and coordinate access and appointments.
- Performance & Reporting: Accurately document job details promptly, using digital tools, and suggest improvements for efficiency.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations, handle tools and chemicals per COSHH standards, use and maintain PPE, report incidents, and attend safety training.
- General Duties: Deliver high-quality, timely work, collaborate with colleagues, support apprentices, attend necessary training, and uphold NIHE’s standards and reputation.
- Additional: Comply with NIHE policies and undertake other relevant duties as needed by management.
- Training may be provided for works required outside of trade as appropriate to business need.
Criteria:
- Completed either time served or skills apprenticeship in Tiling.
- At least 1 years’ post apprenticeship experience including floor and wall tiling experience on improvement or maintenance of properties.
- Full current driving licence or access to a form of transport
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
