Riada Resourcing are seeking to recruit a talented and commercially minded Qualified Accountant on behalf of an innovative manufacturing company.

As Financial Controller you will play a leading role as part of the Senior Management Team and have responsibility for all aspects of the Management and Financial Accounting of their two production sites located in Northern Ireland and England. Working closely with other Senior Managers and reporting to the Directors, this broad ranging role will be based at Head Office in Mid Ulster, with travel to the facility in England as required.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of standard costing reporting and product costing mechanics
  • Preparation and development of weekly and monthly manufacturing KPI’s, efficiency tracking and variance analysis reports for Budget Holders and Senior Management
  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts to deadlines
  • Preparation and review of stock reports
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • On-going development and monitoring of the company’s information system, ensuring continuous improvement and a forward-thinking approach
  • Perform key ad-hoc analysis on continuous improvement initiatives
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements and liaising with external auditors
  • Treasury and foreign exchange risk management
  • Statutory company returns
  • Contribute to the on-going management and development of the company

 

The Ideal Person:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • 3 years + experience in product and standard costing within a manufacturing environment
  • Willing to travel as required 
  • Strong financial/ commercial acumen
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision would be advantageous
  • Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
  • 3 years + experience of managing a team, a people person with strong management skills - able to coach and mentor staff to higher levels of achievement
