Riada have a new opportunity available for an experienced HR Generalist to join our client, a leading manufacturer in Magherafelt.

Salary: c£27 - 30k
Duration of post: Full Time, Permanent  
This role requires ability to work at pace, assisting with all HR queries in a responsive yet professional manner:
Key Abilities:
  • Developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, liaise with recruitment agencies, checking application forms, short-listing, interviewing and selection of candidates
  • Provide practical “hands on” HR support to managers on employment issues
  • Conduct on-boarding of new employees / monitor attendance
  • Advise managers on performance management / produce regular KPI figures
  • Assist with business acquisitions and restructures involving TUPE and redundancies
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll (approximately 500 staff) & associated tasks including pensions
  • Undertake Training Needs Analysis across the company
  • Identify training & development and organise the relevant training in line with the company’s strategy
  • Source training providers to meet site compliance and development training needs and negotiate costs as well as track expenditure
  • Maintaining training records within the HR database
  • Gather feedback through course evaluations
  • Co-ordinate work experience opportunities, apprenticeship and undergraduate schemes
  • Attend careers fairs/events at schools & colleges 
  • Be educated to degree standard in HR / Business related discipline
  • Experience in a HR generalist role (at least 3 years)
  • Experience in a training environment role (at least 2 years)
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy & demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a confidential and professional manner
  • Ability to work flexibly, using own initiative
  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft office suite
